Christmas in Brighton (Love in Brighton Village Book 2)
About
Getting lost isn’t the best way to start an assignment...
But sometimes, you need to get lost to find where you belong.
Travel writer Meredith Mills has one goal--capture New England Christmas charm in a series of blog posts to help save her mother’s boutique travel agency. If her mother can’t get more bookings, Meredith fears another shuttered business and another move. And what Meredith longs for more than anything is roots and a normal life.
Spending the holidays stuck in the glittering decorations, twinkling lights and festive activities in the middle of nowhere New Hampshire isn’t part of her agenda. Neither is falling the the laid back Pop-Up Christmas Village’s designer assigned as her guide by the town board of select persons. She’s used to following a plan and ticking off boxes. But her carefully laid out agenda keeps getting derailed. Especially when the chemistry between them lights up like a Christmas tree.
Then a nor’easter blows through, leaving her stranded in snow while, in Boston, her mother is falling apart. They’re the one constant in each other’s lives. Meredith can’t abandon her. To get the help her mother needs, Meredith must spill their long-kept secret.
Will that spell the end of the magic or the start of a new itinerary for her life?
Christmas in Brighton is the heartwarming second book in the Love in Brighton Village women’s fiction romance series. If you like mother-daughter relationships, opposites attract and genuine connections, you’ll love this tender tale of growth.

Praise for this book
Sylvie Kurtz has done it again-weaving her Christmas magic in book two of the series. She brings to life real life struggles in families along with a need to find love in the most unexpected places. Her characters are relatable and charming, pulling you right in. I love that her books take you on a journey, full of love and hope, especially at Christmas. Can’t wait for book three!
I read this during a power outage by flashlight and could not put it down. The author had me hooked on the first page and I could not turn the pages fast enough but yet wanted to take my time savor each word at the same time.
Outstanding writing that makes you want to move right in and be a part of the story and of course bring a dog lover Marley was the cherry on the top of this story.
This book should be a NY Times best seller with tons of awards in my opinion. I loved both books in this series but this one really hit home with me.
The beautiful cover of this novel immediately caught my attention. The story pulled me in, especially after the protagonist, Meredith Mills reached Brighton, NH, and met Elana, owner of Fisher Camp Lodge and a grieving mother; and her therapy dog, sweet Marlie. The town is reminiscent of those in a Hallmark Christmas Movie with a castle, carousel, ice skating, tree lighting, and winter festivities. Handsome Aaron Carpenter portrays a gentleman hero who shows Meredith the sparkling town sights, and captures her heart. I highly recommend as a sweet romance and a lovely Christmas story.
